GM, frens. Just a reminder that we've taken the lid off those $VEMP staking locks! So if you have staked any of the metaverse tokens like $STARL, $APE, $SAND or $MANA, then you can now unstake without having to lock up or burn $VEMP. Whoop whoop! Freedom!
Now, for what's been going on in the space:

ETH activates ERC-4337: what does the new standard mean?
ETH chain has activated its new standard, called ERC-4337. One of its features were previously advertised by Vitalik as a “key enhancement” to the Ethereum blockchain. The key enhancement? Account Abstraction. In layman’s terms, it introduces a new type of wallets that are smarter and more user-friendly.
Vitalik believes account abstraction is one of the biggest unlocks for the crypto user experience
What is it and how will it improve self-custody?

The ERC-4337 was implemented via the EntryPoint smart contract and has already passed a full security audit. The reason why it was so easy to implement is because the upgrade didn’t require any changes to Ethereum’s code as for now, it runs separately from the main protocol.
Account abstraction is extremely powerful.
Here are a few of the things you can do to make the most of it:

Essentially it adds a new layer on top of Ethereum mainnet, meaning there will be yet another stack of tech to get your head around, but eventually, it will be integrated into mainnet, and the new useful functions are more than worth the hassle.
Binance's AI NFT tool gets congested right after the launch
On Wednesday, CZ announced a new AI NFT tool called Bicasso, but it appears he didn't anticipate the amount of enthusiasm users would have for creating their own NFTs. The tool was supposed to help users turn "creative visions into NFTs with AI," but within an hour of launch, the tool was met with a flood of requests that it simply couldn't handle.
Looks like you're all enjoying #Bicasso!
Our team is currently working to increase the server abilities to reduce errors and to make the minting process smoother.
Though our beta quota of 10k NFTs is running out, you can still sign up to the waitlist for the full version.

Binance, of course, spun it as a positive thing, claiming that the tool was so popular that it couldn't handle the demand. CZ said the AI was "busy" due to its single-threaded design and that the team was working on reducing congestion.
In the meantime, some users shared their completed NFTs and expressed their excitement at the results while others were left frustrated by the congestion. A lot can be said about how they should have been planning for success from the start, but for the crypto space a botched launch is just another day in the office. The users should be grateful the AI didn't erase their wallets altogether. Or something.
HyperPlay launches all-in-one Web3 gaming platform
A web3 gaming DAO and the former MetaMask operations lead have joined forces to launch HyperPlay, a gaming app available for all major platforms and optimized for MetaMask users, now live via an early access program.
Today, we’re excited to celebrate the early access alpha launch of HyperPlay.xyz, a game launcher that brings Web3 wallets into native games.
We aggregate the @EpicGames store, @GOGcom, and our own store to overlay @MetaMask into game experiences.

From the start, HyperPlay will offer a library of games, like Bornless, DeFi Kingdoms, The Sandbox, Undead Blocks and Voxie Tactics. Plus, with HyperPlay you can access all the major game stores like Epic and Guild of Guardians - without ever leaving the app. According to the team, the platform will be available for Windows, Mac, Steam Deck and Linux users; but if you want the best experience, MetaMask will apparently work best.
Yes! Web2 or Web3 games, in fact.
Currently, any game in the Epic Store, GOG, or our own HyperPlay store can be installed through HyperPlay.
Existing games can use our APIs for in-game transactions or start out by using us simply for game distribution to players.

"Steam for web3" was a hot topic for a while, and it looks like HyperPlay is the latest game launcher trying to (sort of) bring the concept to life. Whether or not it will be the one to succeed remains to be seen but it's exciting to see how the idea is slowly evolving.
