Ethereum is getting scarcer: 28k ETH already burned since last month's upgrade
Ethereum's supply is decreasing more quickly than crypto-influencers' followers when they endorse yet another PnD scam.
At least 28,730 ETH tokens have already been burned from the network since EIP-1559 was implemented a month ago, according to a recent report from Ultrasound.Money. Since the upgrade, a small fraction of the transaction fee has been permanently taken out of circulation with each ETH transaction.
It appears the higher the network activity, the more scarce Ethereum becomes. With some analysts predicting a new all-time high in the near future. The devs aren't resting, though. The upcoming Shanghai upgrade is coming along sometime next month and after that they will turn their attention to sharding and zero-knowledge proofs.
So, what does this all mean for Ethereum holders? The ever-decreasing supply should drive up the prices after a while, which can't be bad, but it's probably too early to rest until the devs do something about those horrendous gas fees. Overall, ETH is in a good place and the future looks bright.
Red Cross Twitter page hacked to promote XRP giveaway scam
Red Cross, an organization that is known for its philanthropic activities, was recently hacked and used to promote a scam XRP giveaway. The hackers must have thought that the Red Cross was a perfect target for their scam as it would be easy to dupe unsuspecting people into believing that the organization was running a genuine promotional campaign.
In this troublesome period of wars and disasters, it is quite disheartening to see hackers taking advantage of the situation by duping people into handing whatever small amount of money they have, as it's very doubtful any billionaires will be surfing the Red Cross Twitter page to look out for giveaways. But eh, what can you do? Scum will be scum.
And this is not the first time this scam pops up on Twitter either, as a French Municipal Councillor had his account hacked last month to promote a similar XRP giveaway and the official Twitter account of Oman's Indian embassy was also hacked for the same reasons back in September.
Whether it's the Red Cross or any other reputable organization, please be careful and always do your research before taking part in sus giveaways. Otherwise, you might just be handing your money to a bunch of scammers.
Helium set to migrate to Solana on March 27th
Remember the Helium thing with the routers? Well the Helium Network was serious about abandoning it's own network and moving to Solana (of all chains). And now they've set March 27th as the day it's going to happen.
The Helium team posted about this on their blog, saying that they were setting up a "Readiness Working Group" to make sure the migration goes smoothly.
📢 ATTENTION!
The Helium Network is officially migrating to @solana on March 27th! Are you ready?
Ensure that you've migrated to the Helium Wallet app for a smooth transition. Keep Hotspots active and online to receive IOT tokens.More in this thread🧵👇

According to them, migrating to Solana will offer a lot of new features including speed, scalability, wallet compatibility and generally a better functioning ecosystem. Well, let's wish them luck. Let's hope this is the change they were looking for and not another unnecessary headache.
