The final ETH testnet merge is live on Goerli

Well that's that, the final testnet has successfully completed its merge before Ethereum makes its big move to proof-of-stake.

The Goerli testnet has successfully completed its rehearsal for the big Ethereum mainnet Merge. This is a huge milestone for the project, and it's all thanks to the hard work of the team and the community.

The successful completion of the Ropsten and Sepolia testnet merges has instilled confidence in the Ethereum community that the actual mainnet merge will go off without a hitch. Bellatrix's upgrade to the Goerli beacon chain is the latest step in preparation for the testnet merge, and with it, the Ethereum community is one step closer to their much-anticipated mainnet upgrade.

Everything is now set and ready for the Merge to occur at the end of September, just as previously promised. So in just a few short weeks, we'll all be moving from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. Let the good times roll!

A game from Shiba Inu (SHIB) becomes available for testing

Thanks to the main developer of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, Vietnamese users can now test the new game from the project. It's only been a week since the full details of the game were unveiled, and many were wondering when they could get the full gaming experience. It looks like their wishes have come true - sort of. The game is indeed available for testing, but only to Vietnamese users and only on the iOS operating system. According to Shytoshi, Shiba Eternity may become available to Indonesian users next.

It became clear what surprise Shytoshi was preparing for the Shib fans when he asked toward the end of July how many members are from Vietnam. Perhaps this region is the first on Shiba Inu's list of priorities, given the incredible success of other crypto games like Axie Infinity. It's no secret that Vietnam has been a hotbed of crypto activity, with a burgeoning community of investors and enthusiasts. So it's no surprise that Shib would want to make a play for this market.

The Shiba Inu project and its native token, SHIB, have been attracting a lot of attention lately. And it's no wonder why – with over 1.2 million holders and active support from the community, the project is still moving forward.

What's more, the launch of Shibarium and SHIB: The Metaverse are just around the corner, and they're sure to take the crypto world by storm. But can the virtual dogs of the Shiba ecosystem really take on the biggest players in the space? Only time will tell.

Mark Cuban sued for promoting Voyager, a “massive Ponzi scheme”

Mark Cuban and Steve Ehrlich, the CEO of Voyager Digital, are facing allegations of fraud and deception in relation to the now-bankrupt crypto lending platform.

According to court documents, the two men were key players in convincing potential investors to put money into the platform, which has now been revealed to be a sham.

The Dallas Mavericks, Cuban's NBA team, has also been named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

As crypto investors, we've all been cheated at one point or another. But it takes a special kind of person to fleece millions of people. And that's exactly what the pair behind Voyager Digital allegedly did - according to a 92-page complaint filed by the Moskowitz Law Firm, the duo "went to great lengths to use their experience as investors to dupe millions of Americans into investing."

The claimants allege that Cuban knew about Voyager's financial troubles before he publicly endorsed the company, and that he stands to gain financially from Voyager's success. They also claim that Voyager was a "massive Ponzi scheme" that relied on Cuban and Dallas Mavericks' support.

If you're one of the "lucky" 100,000 people who invested in Voyager - you're now in a long line of people and organizations that are collectively owed over $5.7 billion. Just think, a few years ago, you might have been one of the many people who thought investing in cryptocurrency was a terrible idea. But you took a chance, and of course, it helped that Voyager specifically targeted young, inexperienced investors with youth-oriented marketing, promises of interest payments on crypto holdings, and assurances that customers would receive the best price on trades. But hey, who would have thought investing in an unregulated, high-risk market would be anything less than a sure thing?

In any case, if you're one of the many people who have lost money because of this fraud, don't despair. You're not alone. In fact, you're in good company - some of the biggest names in the crypto world have also been taken for a ride.

Just remember, next time someone tries to convince you to invest in something that sounds too good to be true... it probably is.
