Kia raises $600,000 for animal shelters through a robot puppy-themed NFT initiative

Kia’s US unit launched the NFT initiative in January, hoping to make a real-world impact with its first digital collectibles. The company created 8,000 robotic puppy-themed NFTs that were auctioned off over three rounds of bidding. Each round saw 1,000 unique digital puppies up for sale, and the funds raised from each sale went directly to the Petfinder Foundation.

The initiative was a huge success, with Kia announcing on Tuesday that it had managed to raise $100,000 for the nonprofit. In addition to this amount, Kia also donated an additional $500,000 in fiat currency to the cause, bringing the total amount of donations to a whopping $600,000.

The funds raised by Kia will be used to cover the adoption costs of more than 22,000 animals currently residing in shelters across the US. The donation from Kia will go a long way in helping these animals find their forever homes and live out their lives with loving families.

Kia's NFT move proves that NFTs can be used for more than just sales and profits - they can also be used to raise funds for charitable causes, such as those related to animal rescue. With this in mind, it's likely that other companies will soon follow Kia's lead and start using NFTs as a way to raise money for good causes. It's a great example of how blockchain tech can be used to make the world a better place.

3Commas security breach confirmed as API keys leaked without authorization

The 3Commas api keys incident was a major security breach for the trading-bot platform, which had its API keys leaked without any authorization. The leak was confirmed by a 3Commas spokesperson recently who said it was "wide spread." Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao also weighed in on the situation and urged users to disable their API keys if they had ever used them with 3Commas.

The exact impact of the API key leak is still unknown, but it can be assumed that the data could have been used to gain unauthorized access to user accounts and potentially resulted in malicious activity. It’s important for users to take precautionary measures and ensure that their API keys are secure and not shared with any third-party entities.

3Commas has since implemented additional security measures in order to better protect their customers’ accounts and data - that's, at least, according to the company’s official blog post. The team said they were committed to “ensuring that the safety of our user's data is always our top priority.” They also recommended that users begin using two-factor authentication and other measures to help protect their accounts from any potential future threats or attacks.

This incident serves as a wake-up call to the crypto trading ecosystem, emphasizing the importance of using extra precaution when it comes to protecting user data. It’s crucial that users take all necessary security measures in order to ensure their accounts and data remain safe.

Manchester United accused of plagiarism over 'The Devils' NFT collection

Manchester United has been accused of using the work of an NFT artist called DesLucrece without proper attribution. To make matters worse, the similarities between the two collections are stunning.

An official NFT collection from the Manchester United Football Club, "The Devils," has been compared side-by-side to DesLucrece's renowned Des Monsters collection on Twitter. It was immediately apparent that the two collections share nearly identical characters and designs.

DesLucrece is a pseudonymous artist who specializes in creating colorful animated monsters. His collection currently has a floor price of 17.5 ETH, or $20,825, on OpenSea.

Many are calling out Manchester United for not giving proper credit to the original artist and are demanding the club take responsibility and explain their actions. The collections were both minted on the Tezos blockchain, leading many to speculate that the club may have used DesLucrece's work without permission.

Manchester United has yet to respond to the accusations, but the controversy has sparked heated debates and divided opinion on social media.
