Uniswap emerges victorious in MatchboxDAO's Battle of Titans

At 0xMonaco event called Battle of Titans, Uniswap emerged as the ultimate winner. The event was organized by MatchboxDAO and streamed live on Twitch.

Teams from various web3 companies such as Ledger, Polygon, Uniswap, NEAR, Yield Guild Games, Chainlink, OKX and Bybit participated in the competition, the goal of which was to win a Mario Kart-style race with smart contracts as their cars. After an intense battle, Uniswap was crowned the winner.

The competition tested teams' technical abilities and showcased web3's potential for creative gaming experiences. Each team had to create a strategy for its car in order to win the race. This included managing resources such as coins, accelerating cars, firing shells, buying shields and using special items such as super shells. Coins were provided to the teams at the start of the race, with a total of 17,500 coins divided among all participants.

The competitors also had to develop their strategies based on predictions about what other teams would be doing. This further highlighted the exciting possibilities for smart contract-based gaming using web3 technologies.

The Battle of Titans was for sure an innovative event that put web3 to the test and demonstrated its potential to create engaging gaming experiences. Uniswap's devs are certainly hard working, and it's no surprise that they were victorious in this competition.

Talking about the Kart games, if you've missed it, VEMP has recently acquired a game called PenguinKarts. It is an arcade racing game where you can play against friends and win tokens. The game will be finished in Q1 (single player) and Q2 (multiplayer) of 2023. So don't forget to join PGK socials to stay updated!

Elon keeps pushing McDonalds to start accepting DOGE

Elon Musk (Tesla, Space X and now Twitter's CEO) keeps pushing McDonald's to accept the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Dogecoin ($DOGE) as a payment method. He has repeatedly offered to appear on live television and eat a Happy Meal if McDonalds embraces the digital asset.

In response to a tweet from the official account of McDonald's, which had been inactive for a few months, a user asked Musk whether his offer was still standing. Musk responded positively and affirmed his commitment to pushing the fast-food chain to accept $DOGE as payment.

Musk's original offer followed a market sell-off in cryptocurrency, which had seen McDonald's tweet to tease the crypto community by asking those who run crypto Twitter accounts how they were doing after the crash, and it looks like the offer still stands.

The billionaire entrepreneur has been an avid supporter of DOGE, consistently tweeting about it and pushing its value up big time since he started tweeting about it. He has even weighed in on the future of DOGE, claiming that he believes it will be an important part of the future of digital payments.

Will McDonalds finally give in to Musk's request and accept DOGE as payment? We'll have to wait and see, but one thing is for sure - it's not likely to be a boring wait.

Moody's is working on a scoring system for crypto stablecoins

According to reports, Moody's Corporation is developing the scoring system to assess the quality of the reserve attestation for up to 20 stablecoins. This scoring system will not serve as an official credit rating, however it will provide a measure in which market participants can assess these digital assets and determine their worth.

Stablecoins are popular within the crypto space due to their ability to maintain their value over time, hence why they are often pegged to a national fiat currency or another financial instrument like gold.

Moody's is a credit rating agency that is well known for its assessments of debt instruments such as stocks, bonds and other financial products. This move signals a shift in the way traditional financial institutions view digital assets and their use cases. It also indicates that more companies may begin to adopt cryptocurrency as an investment vehicle or form of payment in the near future, also it might mean that regulation authorities take an increasingly active role in the market.

This move could be a positive step forward for the cryptocurrency industry and help provide more security and legitimacy to the industry, which could ultimately lead to increased adoption of digital assets among more institutional investors. Or it might have a negative impact on the industry, especially if the scoring system results in overly restrictive regulation that could stifle innovation. In any case, it remains to be seen how this move from Moody's will affect the industry going forward. Either way, it is definitely an exciting development that could shape the future of the crypto industry.
